A note from the band: The MP3 floating around on the message boards at the moment is a track we recorded with Mike Skinner a few months ago. The track was the result of a late night jam session and something we did for a bit of a laugh featuring a blues riff we have been playing live recently upon which Skinner recorded some vocals. Muse are very pleased to be part of the Teenage Cancer Trust season this year. The band will play at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on April 12th. The aim of the shows is to raise funds for desperately needed teenage cancer units. TCT units, which are all built in NHS hospitals, are improving survival rates for teenagers with cancer. They each cost over £2 million to build and at least another 15 are needed to ensure every teenager with cancer can have access to one. Tickets go on sale at 10am on 22nd February. More exclusive announcement news... we are very pleased to confirm that Archive will be supporting at Parc des Princes in Paris on June 23rd. More on this line-up to follow. In addition, and contrary to rumour, we will not be playing the Live Earth climate awareness gig on 07/07/07. Although we were delighted to have been approached and applaud the sentiment of the event, we feel it would be inappropriate for us to play there as we have a gig in Dublin the same evening and therefore a private jet would be the only method of transport available to us, our crew and equipment. We feel the unnecessary additional carbon emissions from private jets would be a contradiction to the intention of the event. May 1, 2007 Muse regret that they have had to cancel several dates on their current tour with My Chemical Romance due to members of MCR band and crew, and members of Muse's crew being struck with serious food poisoning. The nationwide tour was brought to a standstill on Sunday when several members of My Chemical Romance's band and crew and members of Muse's crew became violently ill after the show at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA. With multiple people scattered in hospitals between State College, PA and Columbus, OH, the bands were forced to cancel Sunday night's show at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA and postpone the show in Columbus, OH from Tuesday, May 1st to Wednesday, May 2nd, provided everyone has recovered. The show originally scheduled for tomorrow night at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA has been cancelled. Muse would like their fans to know that they hope to resume the tour as soon as possible. Tickets for the April 29th Bryce Jordan and May 2nd Pittsburgh show will be refunded at point of purchase. - Muse promo competition winner!

Presented by Moby and a contortionist, the band thanked the fans for their votes, and would like to extend that gratitude here and now - so thanks again guys for making it happen. The band went on to perform Starlight amongst fiesty green lasers, and then hopped on a plane to get to Dublin in time for today's show at The Point. A good night was had. Having been voted for by readers of Q magazine, and up against the likes of Oasis, Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Arctic Monkeys, it is great one to win. The band flew in especially for the awards, having been asked to present The Who with their Q Legend Award. The new video for starlight is now up on the site. It was filmed on a huge cargo ship off the coast of LA by director Paul Minor. Muse are very disappointed having been forced to pull their headline show last night due to a sudden and extreme storm which started raging 10 minutes before their set was due to begin. The performance was pulled by the festival organisors for safety reasons even though Muse were willing to take on the elements. As the band were walking to the stage the sky turned black and produced an unprecedented thunderstorm. On reaching the stage massive gusts of wind pulled the back of the stage clean off and the crew were found battling heroically with the elements, tying down tarpaulin and attempting to resuce the band's gear which ended up taking a severe lashing. 8 inchs of rain flooded the festival site within 30 minutes, hopefully fans and their tents escaped unscathed. - New single in at Number 4!

Hello, long time no see. We are now currently mixing the new album and hopefully should be finished over the next few weeks. We'll announce the release and touring plans soon. About the album, some new songs deal with awol soldiers, Zeta Reticulans, the sound of Joe Meek's tape machine being thrown down the stairs, the private thoughts of General Zhu Chenghu, feeling strangely comfortable collecting fire wood whilst wielding an axe and of course, how to store Pasta for 12 years using nitrogen flushing. We have also obtained a Buchla. Our very own Marvin sat in the corner depressed too complex to be fun and too unreliable to be a friend. It may have been close to getting blood from a stone but in the end we did get some earnest synth dreams out of him. The 6/8 cycling monster has turned out truly gargantuan, it will have to end the album (a few beserkers may recognize the chordal structure from piano doodlings on previous tours). Also, a sinister presence at the center of our Galaxy has inspired what could be described as a surprisingly casual manage-a-trois involving Prince, R2-D2 and the Queen when she was hot. Oh, by the way "Crying Shame" isn't going to be the first single! So that's it for now, see you all soon we hope. Take care, Muse - More DVD release dates

So the final tour of Absolution is sadly over. The band have been touring across the world (on and off for 18 months on this album), and it has been a great experience for everyone concerned. So many memorable experiences, people and places. we'd like to thank everyone who has come and supported the band so wonderfully over this incredible period. We can now finally confirm some dates for Muse's return to the US on the 'Campus Invasion 2005 Tour.' mtvU, the 24-hour college network seen on over 700 campuses nationwide, will present Muse as headliners of this year's tour, with the fantastic Razorlight opening the show. The 20-date tour will kick-off on April 8th at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. mtvU will feature all the excitement on-air beginning April 25th with the complete Campus Invasion special featuring performances, artist interviews and more.
